The Team
In First Antrim all members of the fellowship are encouraged to take part in ministry, but within the fellowship there are those with areas of particular responsibility.
Minister
The Rev Bill Parker is the teaching elder and pastor of our congregation. His main responsibilities are for the preaching and teaching of Gods word and pastoral visitation. He leads our congregation alongside Kirk session and congregational committee. For more information about Bill click here.
Deaconess
Rosemary Spiers is our Deaconess. She started working in First Antrim in December 2009. Find out about Rosemary here.
Eldership (Kirk Session):
These are individuals elected by the congregation and ordained by the Templepatrick Presbytery (of which we are part) to watch over and promote the spiritual welfare of the congregation and the local community. They are the good looking bunch below!

Congregational committee:
A big group of people elected by the congregation to look after all the practical aspects of congregational life.
Clerk of Session:
Ivan Gillespie takes on a lot of responsibility as our Clerk of Session and is ably assisted by…
Deputy Clerk of Session:
John Johnston.
Musical Director:
Alison Chestnutt leads our choir and praise band Sunday by Sunday. Is there an instrument she cannot play? We’ve yet to find out!
Administrator:
Valerie Martin puts in an enormous amount of time and effort in all the various administrative tasks that come her way.
Minister Emeritus:
Rev Dr S. John Dixon was senior minister of First Antrim for 28 years, retiring in March 2008. He and his wife Claire now live and worship in Lisburn. They maintain a prayerful and supportive interest in First Antrim.
