Hi, welcome to the CE page.
A special message for boys and girls, from 4 years old and over! You are invited to come and join Junior CE, we meet every Tuesday night in the downstairs halls of First Antrim commencing on 7th September 2010.
We would especially welcome new members, and look forward to seeing past members again. If you know any children of this age, please invite them to come along, CE is open for all children, whether members of First Antrim or others in the community.
First Antrim CE 2009
We have had a busy year at First Antrim, meeting every Tuesday from Sept- June.
In March we held our first ever CE Sunday Service and members of the congregation were impressed by the confidence and skills the Juniors had in leading the service, singing, giving reports, as well as bible readings, verse speaking and instrumental solos. Rachel Cooke taught the whole congregation a memory verse with confidence and enthusiasm, and at 11 years old is already preparing to be a teacher one day. All te CE children were presented with bibles to mark the occasion.
We finished the year with healthy body/ healthy lives nights. These turned out to be great fun! We used our new games equipment to play team games to help our bodies stay healthy, then we used the Hope UK pack each week to help us see how God wants us to care for our bodies and minds . we finished off with healthy snacks, fruit, muffins and pancakes. Yum!!
Since September we have been focusing on the commandments each week, using the “ Kid’s Travel Guide to the Commandments”, a fun biblical based guide, helping us apply God’s commandments to our everyday lives.
In Nov. we sent shoeboxes to Samaritan’s Purse.
In December we had a crafts night where we all made a candle holder, a Christmas decoration and Christmas cards. We also had a video night when we watched the Story Keepers Christmas video on a big screen and enjoyed crisps, ice lollys and sweets, pretending we were at the cinema.
The photo was taken at our Christmas party.

We plan to enter the Top Society Quiz and the Talent Contest ( we did very well at both last year) and will host the talent contest finals again this year. Already plans are underway for our 2nd CE Sunday service.
